Conducted a campus-wide fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, involving the University President, local community members, and students. Held informative booths on CF advocacy.

The PASTEUR ACT: An overview

This summer, I attended Senate committee hearings on the Pasteur Act, which would authorize the Department of Health and Human Service to enter a subscription model for antimicrobial drug development, an industry that has lost traction due to lack of investment.

On Cystic Fibrosis and the Foundation

The Yale Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser this year consisted of three portions: an educational booth at the heart of campus, candy grams, and networking talks/conversations with the University President and mascot.

Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday last year was on November 28, 2023. Thanks to the generosity of Lou and Nancy Stremick, whose 18-year-old granddaughter, Ella, has cystic fibrosis, your donation will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $250,000.

Among the winners of the University President x Handsome Dan x Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser. Students went to support the cause, and a handful were chosen for exclusive networking meals and chats with Yale administrators.

About Cystic Fibrosis

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Mutations of the CFTR gene causes mucus buildup, trapping bacteria and increasing infections.

Individuals with cystic fibrosis take antibiotics to help treat bacteria and infections caused by thick mucus buildup. Bacterial resistance to antibiotics means that treatment often changes, quickly and unexpectedly.
